I am now on my mission to WA. I haven't been to this far and very fasicinating to see different part of the country. No pictures available since my digital camera has very low battery powers.
We flew from yangon to Tachilek. The flight took 3 hours with so many stops. The flight was not pleasent during the landing in Mandaly. We arrived in TCL around 2:30 in the afternoon and we drove directly to Kyaing Tone which is another 3 hours drive. in KT, we stopped at our liaison office for another 15 minutes and then we drove to Mong lar (capital of Special Region 4) for a night stop. THe town was very well established and it is similar to some European country with the stream running in the middle of the town, some palms trees in the sides of the streets. Most speask chinese and only chinese currency Yeon was used. So I was not able to get any Coke during a night stop there.
16th March 2008: we left the hotel around 9:00 and arrived at Mong Pauk office at 1:30 PM. The MP office is located on the top of the hills and we stayed at their guest house.
We will move to Ming lar tomorrow to see some of the activities. Will update then.
